Apart from the aps what other differences is there between these models? I'm told that a 420 is also available without aps. Can anyone confirm this. Tia

We had a 320 and now have a 420.
5.4m header on 320 which was a bit much but smallest at time to be a vario!
5.6m on 420 which is about rIght in barley but could go wider in wheat.
Best thing about 420 is the APS disawners which are put in by a leaver and not having to take the concave out to put disawner bars in.
Bit more horsepower in the 420.
Dont think you can buy a 420 without APS.

I'm more familiar with New Holland machines, have you any idea how the 420 with aps would compare with a tc56 rs or a tx62?

I don't know about sending it out in lumps but I've been passenger in some aps machines and saw lumps heading up the elevator that I thought might block it and they just disappeared through the drum without any issue. I put this down to the aps
Yes, the aps is fantastic, but the second drum does mash the straw slightly.
Nothing like an axial flow or lexion though.

What are you comparing it to ?

We've had a tucano and 2 lesions the second is a hybrid and you can get wheat straw out of them that the head still looks intact they're certainly not hard on straw unless it's way over ripe and an absolutely scorching day

Well the swathe our old 108 used to make has never been equalled for evenness and aeration.
It would dry out far quicker than any double or triple or axial flow swathe i have ever seen

300 series had no aps.
400 series did have the aps.
I thought that was the only difference in 300 and 400 series.
I could be wrong.
