Got beet that needs clamping now as the weather gets warm. Clamped it very successfully with soya hulls before. With the price of beef and lamb at the moment tho don't really want to pay for artics of hulls. On silage Monday was planning on layering grass and chopped beet as be buckrake any one done this before? Grass will have good additive on it as well with a fermenter and preserver. It's quite lush IRG so was also going to layer some of last year's grass thats in the clamp next door that's quite high fibre but that's not so relevant to the beet question.
