Clarkson on the nail again?

You are obviously not of understanding..... he is not using his column to ask for anything... he is using it to help the public understand the total crap we have to put up with in order to put food on their table .....and is making the point that 99% of the rules we have to follow are just pure nonsense !

Kind words butter no parsnips.
Once Jezza has achieved something concrete on our behalf, I will happily reassess my opinion.

Why the heck should J.C provide solutions? He's not paid 100k p.a plus expenses of the same from the public purse to do so. He's simply a farmer, broadcaster of entertainment programs and journalist. He earns his money and his say and lives and dies by the sweat of his brow like the rest of us. Politicians are paid and paid well to listen to the problems facing their constituents and find solutions. If they don't one must ask questions of the solution people not the people facing the problem. Though of course those facing the problems may have an opinion on possible solutions and those tasked with finding solutions would do well to consider those options among others of their own devising.

That's bollox. I put the attached together for you. I have pointed countless people to threads on this forum and got them engaged in debate to get them on side, from AHDB to the Moonbat to Joseph Poore. I spend a huge amount of time doing positive stuff. Bollox do I just whinge.

I think you, like others, are missing the point. Well done for making a flyer about farming....on a forum for....farming. And well done for investing a lot of time on a farming forum waxing lyrical about farming...to farmers.

Clarkson's column is highlighting the problems the industry is facing to an audience of 650,000.00 a majority of those are not involved in Farming and some of whom no doubt can influence policy.

It’s enlightening when you hear from the general public about Clarkson’s TV series. I don’t interract with the public crossing/walking on my land as we’re luckily a little away from a big town/city but I do go on other forums nowt to do with farming. On those his series has almost universally been met with huge enthusiasm by the general public. It seems that just about everyone has has their eyes opened in a positive way. People don‘t just like his series, they absolutely love it. And this includes a lot of people who previously loathed the man but have now had to rethink their position because of his series and what he’s shown them about a tiny piece of farming.
you never told us you were seeing other forums!

The flyer isn't for farmers. It is for farmers to distribute to the public. How many would you like ?

Jezza has achieved something on our behalf. I get so many non-farming folks tell me how much they have enjoyed his articles and Clarkson’s Farm and genuinely have a far better understanding of farming than they had before.

Whereas you obviously don’t like him as you continue to constantly remind us, like some old woman (with a very apt TFF name!).

I personally prefer Harry Metcalfe’s Harry’s Farm, which IMO gives a better understanding to non-farmers as to the challenge we face. Ironically, he is also a motoring journalist.

However, I say well done to Jezza. He makes some valid points and people listen to him.
At no time has he said anything that is completely wrong OR has he done us farmers any disservice.
Long may he continue!
