i think that it is all contract farmed and he just ‘helps out’ .....

Heard that he had bought the Lamborghini in Italy and shipped it over, only to find that it had a different linkage of some sort so none of the machinery that he does have fitted it, so then ended up having to spend quite a lot to get it all converted!

How does Harry's Farm compare?

It used to be contract farmed. Now he employs a manager from what I gather and Clarkson "helps out". Fair play to him for bring the publicity to farming I say, the more the better.

In that case it might have been fitted with a wagon hitch and/or a ball/spoon, or just a swinging drawbar. He'd probably want to fit an autohitch with hydraulic extending bit and a drawbar for it. The three point hydraulic lift will be the same as ours but on a tractor that size it will be Cat3. So he'd need some balls of steel perhaps.

Then he'd have to convert all the controls in the screens to English and get an understandable user's manual. He doesn't look the type to read manuals, rather like my wife, which condemns him to get someone else to hitch up implements for him forever more like some, shall I say, helpless old lady.

At least Harry from Harry’s Farm seems to have understood a fair bit about farming and presents it well

Harry Metcalfe was farming a long time before he was involved in fast cars and EVO, he studied agriculture then worked as a grain buyer and kept some sheep before starting to grow his own grain.

The start of EVO was financed by a loan he’d originally taken out to build a grain store but he diverted the funds for a couple of months, they were profitable in 3 months so that plus everything else he does suggests he’s a bloody good businessman.

The difference with Clarkson and the rest is people will listen to him because he is amusing.
Eg. Heard him say he didn't plough and did min till because its better for environmen.
But round up is essential and it not liked by environment's. So you can't win. [emoji4]

Yes, I enjoy it, the Tiff Needell episode was particularly funny, with him calling some guy a winker over a racing bump, think he’d be a top bloke to go for a few beers with.

I found the one with the founder of piston heads the best- what a laugh. The David Clark one was also fantastic
