I'm the same, how does the machine cope?
I have to put thicker oil in the hydraulic tank to make sure it doesn't leak too much out of a couple of the seals, this makes it a bit slower.

Usually, due to the fresh air level in the cab, I only use this machine on nice warm days, this time I had to get on though, it was all fine after a quarter of an hour or so.

I suspect that the filters are poor, it has two big cardboard type things for the hydraulics, I would change them if I knew where to get a pair. I have owned this since 1987 and used it a lot and haven't changed them yet - is that over the service interval?

Whats a service interval? Most old machines I know work on the constant loss principle......it changes its own oil over time.

Rix was the name of the chap who designed it, sorry I don't know much more about it slightly before my time, I googled it but didn't find anything, I'm sure there were more pics of it, if I find them I will post them
