Triangle cab doors were.... um....
.......um...... just a tad too much triangular:LOL:

....anyhow, back to the ploughing. Not that I'm in anyway suggesting that you need any instruction @Selectamatic (especially in view of the pics above) but I wonder (as you are so well versed in all things DB) if you have ever come across the original DB ploughing instruction books?
The first tractor we had here (after the demise of the Shires) was a Cropmaster. As no one had ever ploughed with a tractor before, DB produced a very good manual explaining how to set rigs and how to finish etc, etc. A proper hardback book complete with photographs. We still have it in our extensive archives - somewhere:rolleyes:

Yes, a good section of each Plough type's manual was an instruction book of how to plough, grassland and stubble.

DB were not unique in this, both Ransomes and Fergie did the same, probably others too...

Plough working very well there, slightly of topic but what would you value a very tidy 880 at.going to view one soon so perfect match for my cm3

Red or White?

4 or 3 Cyl?

Red 3 Cyl's are sought after, not my cup of tea though, I rather the white ones, for no other reason than personal preference really.

A white one, £3000 ish? A bit more if nice, a bit less if it has some obvious let downs.

Best tractor DB ever made, I still insist that it's the best in it's class, of it's time.

Didn't buy 880 ,really nice wee tractor but when tried lift it raised and stayed up ,it wouldn't go down so had to walk away reluctantly, what could be most obvious cause?oil in back end was like cream also not good sign!
