Would have been about £9800 for that 675 new , yes That 515c is making good money on the H & H sale so is that 6610 ford.

i should of bought that in the spring, good project, had good tyres, probably the rot made em think twice, bit complicated doing mud guards! well properly

He’d done a Q cap up a year or two before, so he was no novice. He must have just decided not to bother with this one.
It’s a shame it was so scruffy - it was nice to drive.

There will be two bidders, both over the phone held by Mr. M’s family. It’ll get hammered to a big cheer… and nobody will know who’s bought it.

It will then quietly go back to the vendor / back in to Mr M’s warehouse, to be tried again at a later date.

I am not privy to that information.

However, having been present at their most high-profile auction where something made record making money, I wouldn’t be surprised if this tractor had received the same treatment. Bidder 1001.

Mk1 Cooper S is circa £50k currently, there are some cheaper but normally question marks over their authenticity. Trouble when values rise, the bent move in.
Got a rare'ish 997 Cooper in Fiesta Yellow that I bought pre lock down for £7k but needed a lot of work, new floors etc etc, had an old 1275 S engine from years ago, so just doing that up, steel crank/Arrow rods and an Arden 8 port head on Amals, SC box/drops, should be circa 145hp so should be a bit of fun, probably worth what I've spent on it to be fair (the engine is prob the most expensive spend wise)

Put the engine in the shed as an investment and fit a hayabusa just to see what a Porsche looks like in the rear view mirror. 190hp sequential box billion rpm. Got one going in my little 1960 Morris mini sleeper.
