Did you get the cut and hold thing working?
Yes, if what you mean is the film jaws.

The film jaws would not close far enough to grab the film, holding it ready for the next bale. Having taken the lid off the jaw mechanism, it was very dirty inside, preventing the stainless steel rods from moving freely. So we cleaned them with some cloth and put some light oil on them to allow them to move fast enough and freely enough during their entire cycle.

Tried wrapping a bale with our new to us Kvernland Silawrap. All went ok except the bar which is supposed to grip the wrap didn't appear tomove out.

Mine had the same problem. I welded an extra bit to the triangle in the ratchet mechanism under the bed then drilled to put the rod further out from the pivot and thus increased the ratchet mechanism's throw.
Works perfectly now.

Got a third Krone Optimat spreader

I bought it for spares for our others. It's pretty solid though so think it'll be kept working rather than broken. Spread rate just needs freeing of.

Also needs new tips welded on the top rotor

Ahh yes, I remember those, very well built. Old man bought one with the theory that it could double up as a grain trailer, took ages to unload though. OK as a spreader but if I recall that front guard is important, as you get to the end the load the back rotor flings it forwards and plasters the back window!

We really like them - the one next to it we've had about 18 years. Its never gone wrong apart from it slipped of the front pulley last month and bent a few slats.

A few people have said about slinging bits forward but we've never really had that issue. Our tractors never seem to get much slung on them. It always annoys us that for some reason they stop the slats 4" from the sides so you always get a build up on the sides which you have to shovel out end of the day.
