Unlike the owner.

Sorry Emyr couldn’t resist that one! You left yourself wide open there.
How did the barley yield and how much straw this year?

It's a good job your a farmer, you'd be a terrible comedian... :ROFLMAO:

Variable, I've cut all the winter barley now, some was unfilled, light, shrivelled, with lovely straw but very little of it.

The other stuff was probably the best barley I've ever combined! 7 acres yielded 4.5 x 6.5t trailers heaped full and nearly 1000 small, well packed bales!

Valuable grain and straw this year!

Digging out a bit of clay to seal an underground water tank.

Unfortunately this one was a bit too big and heavy to get into the trailer !

what makes the 6600 and 6610 jd such loved tractors, I had a 6610 hired and not sure but think I may be ok about buying a jd now that isn't just the 7010 series. most put off the shopping list a s machines didn't suit both mf, valtra and jd when we hired worked with jd tractors a few times. now however we aren't contracting so not the same push of one breaks or if a bit of adjustment is needed to shift from tractor to another.

Aye 236, its a good enough running thing just lacking a wee bit on power it came with 5250 hrs and its at 9800 now.

agree there, a very robust unit from my experience, our 265 has on many times being boiled by granda and never did hard work to after he sold it to us, 35 would have ran rings around it. we were going to do up the engine as thought it was glazed and at 4000ish hours unlikely to be sorted by hard work. now over 5000hours and having had a hard life here and no real care other than servicing it goes far better, even puts up a fight in the hills nearly as good as the 390. many other engines I doubt would have stuck it, it still uses no oil, take sheat to start it in winter but hill start the length of itself and its away, summer or winter with out heat.
