This is my 1961 IH 414 which I use every day to feed the sheep. I treated her to a pair of BKTs last year as she always starts so well.

Since 2004 tractors are now classed as "classic" here is a photo of my 6420P which I bought new in Sept 2004. I remember getting her because there was a bird flu epidemic at the time and the chap driving her wouldn't let me get in the cab as his dad was nearly 100. How times change!
She has been a good tractor in her 4750 hours and has had a new radiator when the old one burst and took the cylinder head gasket with it. She has had a replacement set of Michelins and that is about it. She gets new JD Plus 50 11 oil regularly with JD filters. She cost £32K and I wouldn't sell her for that today.
PS I've had the wheels painted.

Just thought I'd show you she does some work and looking at the barley perhaps I could do with an irrigation set up.
Forgot to mention that she is on her original 154Ah battery which I specified when I bought her. Still starts straight away, not bad for a nearly 16 year old battery.

Very tidy rig! Have you got brakes on spool valve or does tractor have trailer brakes?

My parents used an MF 185 for contracting carting grass and there were never any trailers with brakes back then, nor tractors with such things. Basically if you were driving it fast enough to need trailer brakes, you were going too fast for the circumstances. The 185 brakes were always good though, the independent brakes could whizz you round on the spot. To make the single spool work you had to lift both draught control levers to the top if I remember correctly. They sold that tractor maybe 10 years ago to someone who wanted to do it up, probably priced nowhere near what we should have asked for when I see the price of them now with a bit of paint. Actually miss the thing, didn't realise they were so rare.
