probably due to the loss of hearing from driving the 5000I
I don’t know i think it’s personal persception. When you were driving a safety cabbed 5000 you knew when it was working hard.As the cabs got better i think because you couldn’t hear or feel the tractor working then people thought they were weaker than the previous tractor.
The 5000 was so much quieter than the 4000 and when we got a preQ 6600 in early 1976 my Dad was so pleased with its much quieter cabprobably due to the loss of hearing from driving the 5000

Massey Harris.
I don't think its a M-H, but looks a bit like an IH.Massey Harris.
Yes I think you are right. Back axle looks American in style, front axle reminiscent of IH and Farmall.UTOS Universe
B250 has a flat grille - that one is curved. No hole in the middle on the B250 eitherLooks like international, similar grill to b 250.

Unsure on hours but judging by wear in back end its believed to have been around the clock a couple of times. Couldnt ever sell owes me too much had a lot of money spent on it, new clutch, input shaft, recon dual power, recon gearbox, new pto gears, new brakes, pretty much whole new backend after it completely exploded a couple of years ago. New roof and full rewire recently as well after the roof blew off last winter going down the road.. Tractors cursed! Goes well though, reached 30.5mph today and averages around 28 on the flat so real niftyHow many hours has she done, and what do you think she is worth? (or what would you sell her at?)

I'm not sure as I had it done when it was in, I paid a local engineer to do the work. All I know is animals have been near it before, when the brake discs were worn instead of replacing they wedged a worn down 40series brake disc inbetween which subsequently wore the inside of the trumpets our which meant I had to have 2 replacements love hate with this tractorIve got a 7700,best tractor ive ever had,but is stood outside looking very sorry for itself at the moment.Cab slowly rotting away.Would love to restore her..................................if i won the lottery. Were the brakes hard to fix?
