By modern standards that's far too small to be called a pocket rocketView attachment 1013605View attachment 1013606
I bought this yesterday, must be the definition of a pocket rocket.
front links / front pto / 40k / twin assisters and 4 spools etc.
hopefully be here next few weeks.
Bet it does more than 40k on them tyres. Had a 7840 used to do somewhere around 30mphView attachment 1013605View attachment 1013606

That tractor never had a white roof. It is one of the last ever of the 40 series ‘Blue’ roof SLE’s with the ‘quad box’.Looks nice that...
Will you make the roof white again?
I stand corrected.Wrong front axle for a blue roof.
Had it have been one of the very last, the transfer stickers would have said New Holland and been a different style. The chassis /skid unit would have been grey, not blue and the badge on the front would be an NH symbol.Yeah it needs roof putting back to white, I’ll have a look on closer inspection!
That would be the best way to devalue the tractor by a big margin ! People want originality, or a dam good job of refurbishing. You could hand paint Hammerite White Smooth on the cab, which would get it almost back to the original and use the same paint on the wheels to go over the rusty bits.
I did this on both by white roof 7740SLE and my blue roof 8340SLE and they look good.
I think you might be surprised how well the finish is with Hammerite smooth. One tractor I hand painted the wheels and the other I spray painted and you have to look very hard to tell the difference. It won’t be hand brushed. It’ll be properly sprayed. The only thing I paint with a brush is fencing
Two beacon'squick one for taking a classic with rops on the road - during daytime and rural roads - what else do i need ... other than a rearview mirror and possibly a beacon (as less than 50mph)??
Nice tractor. Here is our nice example of late issue 7740 with Kuhn Aero. View attachment 1013820
Yes, it was cross dress Tuesday so I was wearing a lovely ankle length woollen number. I do like to salute dad when he goes past, normally with two fingersNice tractor.
and what a nice touch .....the man in shadow (or is it a lady with a long flowing dress on ) showing full respect by saluting as it passes
