The Today at work thread seems to be very popular, so how about giving the shinny paint boys a run for their money, and show them that classic stuff can still do the job. I'll kick off with these taken while working today, and hope more will follow.

1977 David brown 996 does all the topping (10ft topper) manure spreading (2.5t) silage fields rolling (10 ft) and is on the 4 rotor Tedder too. Leaves the bigger tractors to do the tougher jobs. Will try get pics up ASAP

We bought an old Leyland for veggie patch for shop. Gets a job through spring and summer sowing/scarifying and spraying needs/ carrots/ beet root etc. Also gets a job at lambing time with transport box. Comes in handy and makes you appreciate power steering in modern tractors and how quiet/more comfortable they are.

Yep, its a mini tedder, just found it this past winter. Dad had one years ago, so I knew it would be good for what I wanted. It is to replace a Bamfords Whuffler, which was just a wee bit narrow to leave a full width sward for the round baler.So far its working a treat. Keep the posts coming, there's bound to be a lot more oldies still working

its amazing, that tractor is running at probably 500-600 rpm with 2 cylinders and doing a job that we now seem to need 6 cylinders and 1500rpm to do???
