View attachment 870176Rotavating in dung on a fresh potatoe plot

I have a patch ploughed for potatoes myself , 2nd lea. It was ploughed from grass last year possibly 1st week of May . I sprayed them for weeds just at/before emergence .
Grass is starting in it again , but the spray will deal with that .
I was half sorry that I didn't spread dung , and plough it down. Would I be mad to spread some dung on it now , and till it in ? Or even.plough it again ?
What was your line of attack, @Vincent ?

What do the wireworm think of spuds in grass? Better in bin-bags with peat. Some joker on youtube growing spuds above ground with a hay mulch. As a stem tuber you might try peanuts too. And slugs love fresh dung.
