If we were doing many more small bales then we would most likely change to the flat 8 (or 10 @Flat 10 ) system and get a squeeze trailer. However that would mean significant changes at building level, as well as the investment needed in the grab, sledge and trailer. Never say never though!

I would have thought that a decent flat 8 accumulator and grab plus the 40/56 bale trailer could be found s/h at very reasonable prices. [But avoid the Farmhand accumulator as they are a nightmare in so many respects.] I personally would go for a Meijer as they are so simple.
