I have promatic Clay trap promatic said they don’t do a Dtl base for it as it’s so old. Has any one made there own base l quite like making stuff and have draw the parts I need but lacking info on which 12volt geared motor I would need. I think they need to be Aprox 8rpm 20 amp I know windscreen motors are 45rpm so a little to fast.

This is my trap. I added a wiper motor for side to side movement, which works fine. For up and down the wiper motor wasn’t man enough so I butchered a cheap winch from eBay to get a motor. I'll try and find better pictures tonight and post them.

speed controler reduces the motor power so struggles to turn the trap on slow. Was going ok until.. the trap will catch the push rod on teal .( Re build ) pickup wheel hub as pivot bearing seams ok.

Here are some more pictures of my wobble mechanism. The blue bits are original and the bits in red primer are my making. Never got a top coat of blue on it!! I made a turntable by sandwiching a circular plate between 8 bearings, 4 below and 4 above. One horizontal on the middle to keep it central if that makes sense. I made a crank for the wiper motor and housed the wiper motor in a StSt box which has subsequently rusted. If they don’t get better quality materials at my work I’m going to stop stealing from them!
