Claydon sr drill

I have just bought a claydon sr drill....rightly or wrongly...to trial some direct drilling on easy moving land. My question is do you have to carry the leading tines on the lift arms for depth control and only the seed coulters run on depth wheels

I’ve never run one but I would think not.. depth wheels are for depth control, you’d be all over the shop trying to run legs on link arms continuously.

Well that was my thought but having it on tractor the depth wheels are on frame of seed coulters and the leading tines are on a separate frame with floating linkage...cant get my head round it yet....and too wet to get in the field
