Clear Pastic Wrap

Was just pricing around for wrap this morning and noticed this stuff: Unterland Crystal

We are planning on selling some bales so the ability to see the contents of the bale would be a plus. However, I always thought that the dark plastic was required for the heat to ferment the bales.

Has anyone on here any knowledge or experience of it?

Yes, we baled wholecrop peas and wrapped with Crystal, used all those bales that year so I can't comment on longevity but it's good film (y) very good.
In fact I begged a couple of rolls off the contractor in case I use someone else in the future

I work for a haylage contractor, and we tried a few rolls a few years ago. We wrapped a few of each batch as such so we could see what it was like. After 8 layers of wrap you couldn't see much through it anyway! Probably ok for 4 or 6 layers. Some of the customers we sold the bales to were worried it wasn't wrapped properly. I don't think it was UV resistant, so bales should be used within a year, or something like that, don't think it was to do with heat.
