Clocks BST change.

Why is it that every time the clocks go forward, we have a late night calving and every time they go back, I wake up extra early :scratchhead:
Went out to check lambers just before 2am, sitting in the gater waiting for one to lamb in howling wind and rain, I pulled my phone out for some late night TFF action, it was after 3am, took me a while to Cotten on in my sleepy grogy head 🤣🤣🤣

i used to hate it.....but now i don't mind.....my body clock keeps saying it's bedtime :bag:
What? At 5 pm?
I’m fairly indifferent to the “clock” time other than “dinner time” which is 12.30 and I have to be in if er indoors has deigned to cook something.
I got up at 4 this morning to be sure of completing the lifting of a patch of beet. Finished at 4 pm and knocked off for the day.
My getting up time varies from 4 to 7 am depending on daylight, urgency of jobs or the need for a slash.

It's almost worst the day after .Takes days to change body clock!
Days ??
For 1 hr change .??
Dont you ever stay up late?
Got back from Cyprus at 2am other day.
Would have been 4am there.
Got up at 6.30 next day and went to work.
Bed early next night and all as normal.

You must a VERY rigid time keeping for a 1hr time change to effect you for days

They used to say it was so Scottish farmers didn’t have to get up in the dark, but being mostly self employed I would have thought they could get up any time they liked.
Then they said it was so kids didnt get run over going to school in the dark but presumably getting run over going home in the dark was alright.
It’s nonsense really.

how about changin end of september
experienced it once
seemed a v sensible idea
i didnt notice the change at all
Hell no, clocks go back about 8 weeks before the shortest day and forwards about 12 weeks after the shortest day, if anything was to change I’d rather they went forwards 8 weeks after the shortest day day so daylight hours would be similar to when they went back.
I’d be quite happy if they never went back despite the fact that as a bit of a traditionalist it wouldn’t seem quite right that this country of all countries then wouldn’t be using GMT.
I don’t suppose there’s any chance of getting GMT nudged an hour. 😜
