The virus was across the world in December. I'd put money on it and I have two sources to suggest as much.
3 of my immediate family, sister, mum and wife were all the worse they’ve ever been from between Christmas and early february, multiple blood tests all came back with unknown virus type. All very fit and active and all bed bound for 7-14 day periods.

Me too. Had a side job in the pub and it was all I could do to do my shift and get home and sleep in January. Maybe. None of the classic symptoms though so maybe something else.

Had a Tesco delivery today, normal fortnightly shop which doesn’t really change much and only 2/3 was delivered, driver said it’s the same on most things, hams, salami, bread, Tuna. There weren’t even replacements it was just not available 🙈

This is turning into the Perfect storm.
Millions of folks with depleted cupboards because they expected to be with someone else over Christmas.

There was indeed a nasty, debilitating bug around then. Our neighbours were totally scuppered with it, she does mini bus airport runs for a living, so lots of contacts with travellers.
