Staph a seems to be the culprit ?Are you sure you really need it? Have you done any milk cultures to identify bugs? If your bugs are predominantly environmental you would be wasting your money.
Just started this am , was thinking the ambic might be easierhave you tryed dipping units in a bucket peracetic mix in between cows ?
If you've got a staph problem it would be money well spent, Dont waste your time with ambics or bucketsStaph a seems to be the culprit ?
At the minute it seems like the missing link house scraped and beds done twice a day cubicles generally clean done with sawdust and lime
Cows pre foamed wiped stripped and post sprayed ,
This. We had a staph problem and got well on top of it using cluster flush. Should be on every parlour. If you've got a staph problem it would be money well spent, Dont waste your time with ambics or buckets
How much time does that add to your day? It was horrible when we used to do itFor those of us without it. Separating the cows with staph and milking them last will have pretty much the same effect
We don’t. We don’t have staph. Have done in the past with strep ubrisHow much time does that add to your day? It was horrible when we used to do it
Also how reliable is the testing to identify staph cows? Have had conflicting advice.
We have a home made version of this with 5 hose pipes down the parlour, udder spray guns on the ends and peracetic added with a dosatron. Every unit gets washed between cows.Anyone any experience or have an ambic pera spray ? Thinking one would do until I get cluster flush sorted or at least see if it would help ??
And those cows that are just starting with a low level of infection that you don't know about? Do you keep those ones back too?For those of us without it. Separating the cows with staph and milking them last will have pretty much the same effect
This is my case for purchasing one !And those cows that are just starting with a low level of infection that you don't know about? Do you keep those ones back too?
