Having never used one, perhaps just a lighter use is needed?

Exhaust brake pedal is basically a switch. It’s either on or off.

Boysground the reason I ask is diff lock redundant is that on non Vario tractors going down steep hills I would have engaged diff lock and keep my feet away from brakes and hope the tractor stayed in a straight line. Now on JD IVT I am told to “stretch the unit” by pushing forward on the stick and braking but as soon as I touch the brakes diff lock disengages.

I have a 6250 but don’t drive it that often and can’t remember what the diff lock does when you press the break, will try and check later. Certainly on my 724 if you have the diff lock in permanent rather than auto it stays in when you press the break, I’ve just checked.

Remember Fendt also have the cardan break on the front drive shaft. They don’t put the tractor in 4wd when you press the pedal
