Given the way things are going, the UK will need to expand within the next twenty years because we will run out of land in which to plant more trees. The beauty of this is, of course, that it doesn't matter where in the world the trees are grown because they will offset carbon-guilt wherever they are. BA, BP, Coldplay et-al will soon work this out and just buy land for trees in countries where the land is cheapest. Maybe existing woods which have recently been harvested for literally green energy might qualify?

Here's Patrick Moore, ex-Greenpeace who needs no introduction to many of us [so I'm starting the video after his early life story], talking a whole lot of sense about carbon emissions and the nonsense of religious zealots who preach the end of days due to their new Devil, carbon, which is the source of all life on Earth.

He has a very good book out, available to download or, if you are feeling flush, in paper form.

And will they eat food produced locally to where they are for each meal, or transport plant based cr@p from the Amazon everywhere?
Still, at least they didn’t tour for the last 2 years while they worked this out………

Oh, wait a minute, something else was happening during the last 2 years!
