Combatting roof moss problem

Got a few farm shed roof's with a lot of moss on them. Going to be Pressure washing out of a cherry picker the worst roof next week. Is a copper wire the best thing to put up along the top ridge to stop re-growth?

It does work ,,ever notice old council houses with slate roof's ,,used to have a copper cable strung across the ridge,,as it rain the oxide drip of and kills the moss ,,galvanised wire has a similar affect ,,nothing grows round chimney breast where tv aerials are clamped on

The only place I've got moss on my roof is under the tv aerial

Put a wire both sides of the ridge, generally you don't get good coverage both sides with a single wire.

We found the pressure washer hard work?
Jayes Fluid best applied with a hand lance on the sprayer, standing on the ground.
Not to much water maybe 50L with 2.5L of chemical.

But do a patch yourself first, see what you think in a few days/week.

Mate of mine is a roofer and has looked at jobs where customers have complained about a leak or two. Turns out a few weeks earlier they have had there roofs power washed by gypos to remove moss.
This is on house roofs of course.
