When you last grow beans?
Our have paid pretty well the last two years, a v v long time since had beams tho.
HSS, heavy pre em (cos you have nothing post em), maybe 2 fung (teb and amistar).
Of course it'll be clean, so won't be needing the pre Harvest roundy.

Smack your wheat in following and save on the N
Mid 90's I think. Don't remember then getting any fungicides. Used to get chocolate spot.......just put up with it........sometimes got that weevil that makes holes in them.....just sold them for feed. Got about 1 ton - 1.5 ton / acre. Use P&K ? Mobile grain driers OK ?

How much would you reduce N in the following wheat (never grown beans before but we have some in this time)

Cracking looking organic crop.

How have you got it looking like that? Preceding crop? Was it a fair dollop of milk waste?
I run our dogs every day for an hour and lift weeds/docks/thistle across the 65 acre block, I drill at 90kg/ac now it has got a tight canopy weeds won't be an issue.
Feild records show 6800kg/ha of milk waste. It will also of had cow slurry on. Previous crop was w.oats (pic below) and prev to that Red Clover for three years.

Did some soil tests following beans the first time, found very little extra N when compared to fields that didn't have beans previous.
Have to say that the barley that followed the wheat that followed the barley came out flying in the spring - and reduced the N on that🤷‍♂️

I’m not sure what they are worth today as when I sold mine forward merchant said that they normally are £20 over but I’m not sure the current market value is that high. I get rid of mine before October normally as only able to keep them in a temporary store.

Wheat wasn't 200 quid in October

I mean I sell all before December after I’ve harvested so I’m not really following the spot price at the moment. Only sold 1 load forward as I thought it was a decent price at the time. I’ll normally sell the rest when I know what I’ve got in the shed.
