there seems to
be a big variation between nov wh futures and spot trade at the moment ,more than usual i think

Nov futures are well into their tender period, so nobody is trading it any more. Use May and work backwards.

In some ways its a good system whereby you can retender lots, but in other ways its a pain in the arse. MATIF is much simpler, as of the end of trading on 31st October if you have a position (long or short) your either delivering or picking up tenders. LIFFE trades beyond the tender date allowing you to retender lots you've already been tendered, which in some ways from a traders point of view is helpful, but its f*cking complicated and difficult to manage. It also means at this time of year the futures dont relate at all the physical cash market.

Is that £10 over Vivergo feed price, or £10 over some mythical other feed wheat price? Far as I am concerned, Vivergo *is* the feed price now.
