Always amuses me this, hold for too long and it'll go down. Far far better to sell into the rally than miss it and be a forced seller because the price has gone back down.

One merchant said £127 on Friday, then another merchant rang on Monday looking for barley and offered £130 ex farm. Said he could have some. They're collecting it next week.

Is it worth growing w.barley, drying it and storing it if that's all it's worth?
one thing about w barley is it rarely needs drying where as quite often half our wheat does
Imagine having to dry half your wheat every year! 
Keep threatening to drop winter barley (malting for me), don't grow osr, but an early start to harvest gives everything a try out and a bit of early cash flow. Straw usually worth a bit as well.
Will question it again next harvest as usual!
