Just picked this up from the @CRM AgriCommodities newsletter.

  • Just after European markets closed, CBOT wheat jumped as much as 2.8%, snapping a 5-day losing streak, on a Russian news stating that the country's Ag safety watchdog could temporarily suspend up to 30 loading points in southern Russia for up to 90 days [Source: Reuters]. The market has been talking about / hoping for wheat export restrictions on Russian wheat for some time, it could become reality.

They aren’t the best to roll at decent bushel weights but below 50 there are too many small grains that get missed, and have no more feed value than straw anyway.
Brother has always used our milling spec pats for his sheep, went to buy some feed last year, looked at them and came back for the milling. I think the same for barley though, much prefer a good bold 70bw 2 row than a struggling to make the grade 6.
