I agree, but hard work isn't everything. You need the other factors too.

Hard work / knowlage / circumstance/ risk etc all come under the “preparation “ part of my equation

Events can bring good luck and unfortunately bad luck which
can not always be foreseen.

When it comes to selling grain theres so much information
changing constantly regarding weather ,global production,
politics,reports,data inaccuracies,etc etc you really need
luck to have sold all your grain at top dollar.

Really? ive a neighbour that works 18 hours a day, would do all year, only thing hard works doing to him is putting him in a hole in the ground earlier.

Yep.. I worked hard at University to get the mark I got, wouldn’t say it put me any closer to the grave then stacking shelves for the same period! Although arguably it was harder work on my brain but has stood me in better stead since ... Hard work isn’t always manual work....

Don't recall claiming to have hit the top ? i'm not a "top trader" if I had those skills I would be making fortunes running hedge fund I guess, but make no mistake its lack of skill and not "luck" that means I don't earn 7 figure bonuses every year as a trader !

I think they are still looking for milling grade by the number of phone calls I'm getting. No idea on price though as mine are committed.

We have had 1 load away this week for £194 and sold the last still at £194 both for milling to go to Bedford.

Not long ago sold. The last load sold on Tues. morning for just under £190 and was loaded and on the way to Belgium before noon via Hull on to the ferry. It wasn't rejected and had to travel back home.

I make that £16.50, but to three decimal places! Almost as bad as the RPA!
