Strange
There seemed to be plenty of trucks willing to move
cheap corn off the boats last year.

When a farmer will sell a parcel of grain away for 50p yes the job is squeezed from top to bottom, the issue this year as previously discussed the trips to the ports especially from the midlands might only get 1 load in a day, however a domestic run might get 3 loads per day.One of my haulier friends is massively critical of the grain trade. According to him they squeeze the job until only the busy fools are carrying grain one minute only to wonder where all the lorries are the next. I reassure him it’s nothing personal, the decisions are made in the USA by a robot.
Only reporting the views of my friend. Incidentally he’s still in business. When a farmer will sell a parcel of grain away for 50p yes the job is squeezed from top to bottom, the issue this year as previously discussed the trips to the ports especially from the midlands might only get 1 load in a day, however a domestic run might get 3 loads per day.

Mission?could well have been 84 or thereabouts , all available shed space full nowhere to put the last field or two so swept off the yard ( not concrete then) and just tipped it ,put a silage sheet over it and loaded it out october complete with the odd pebble ( no farm ass then), oh happy days, not been repeated since , could have been variety avalon and another beginning with m but cant remember name ,all milling, small premium as all the world and his mother had milling wheat but as "grandad "said you stop selling when you stop weighing
I fell out with one of the big merchants for daring to argue over £6/t for feed wheat. They used to have 80% of our harvest, not spoken to the trader since (3mnths) and will not sell to them again on principal for the way I was spoken to after telling him he was £6 out on the days price. When a farmer will sell a parcel of grain away for 50p yes the job is squeezed from top to bottom, the issue this year as previously discussed the trips to the ports especially from the midlands might only get 1 load in a day, however a domestic run might get 3 loads per day.
