Why does it not make good reading?just looked back on this thread jan - april and history doesnt make good reading for some, my mistake has been committing a bit 9less than 10%)to the mid pool as will be bound to be under spot though im told they havnt sold the majority of it yet though to be fair we use it as a cashflow managing tool

I always sell everything at the top of the market.I think a lot of people, including myself , sold some forward in the £150s.
It looked like a big harvest and we always need the space , so I thought ( wrongly ) that harvest pressure would see that as a good price. Luckily only a small percentage.
I also sold all my barley at harvest, as needed storage for wheat, which has yielded very well.
Anyone who says they sell everything at the top is probably lying .
