I thought the gap might narrow
BlimeyFriend told me at fireworks tonight he had been offered £235 ton for feed wheat spot price Nov!
25p spot, 0 May, £4 Nov 22. That's only because the customer is on the other side of the country,I wander how much discount there is now for non Red Tractor assured grain.
There should be a discount for RT stuff that just has to tick a few boxes which RT knows means nothing. That grain that has been tick boxed is highly suspect.I wander how much discount there is now for non Red Tractor assured grain.

That's a massive difference for perfectly good grain. Disgraceful protection racket.£12, would you like some?
Yes and the reason why l’m contemplating having to join the scheme even though I really don’t want to.That's a massive difference for perfectly good grain. Disgraceful protection racket.
Are you in much of a livestock area? There’s a guy round here who isn’t RT and won’t be feeds some to cattle and surplus is sold as standing crop. He crimped some one year and sold it. He’s never been asked about assurance for either. I have no idea how much you grow but not being RT now I assume not thousands of acresYes and the reason why l’m contemplating having to join the scheme even though I really don’t want to.
Currently my grain is in a perfectly good shed but if I join it will be classed as temporary accommodation and I will have to sell before the end of October.
We're going to ask AHDB if they will devise a new standard so guys like yourself can access feed mill markets without having to go through expense of RT. Sort of an easier version.Yes and the reason why l’m contemplating having to join the scheme even though I really don’t want to.
