Yes and the reason why l’m contemplating having to join the scheme even though I really don’t want to.
Currently my grain is in a perfectly good shed but if I join it will be classed as temporary accommodation and I will have to sell before the end of October.
Are you in much of a livestock area? There’s a guy round here who isn’t RT and won’t be feeds some to cattle and surplus is sold as standing crop. He crimped some one year and sold it. He’s never been asked about assurance for either. I have no idea how much you grow but not being RT now I assume not thousands of acres

We're going to ask AHDB if they will devise a new standard so guys like yourself can access feed mill markets without having to go through expense of RT. Sort of an easier version.

Having a meeting with them in 10 days time.

Let me know if you want me to say anything to AHDB about your specific circumstances, or if that would be of help to you.

No idea if we will get what we're asking for. But ask we are going to!

Arable and sheep area, small scale suckler herds and finishing farms.
Only 90 acres but a valuable part of the overall farming business.
I ought to go back into cattle really and utilise some of it,my daughter wants me too, can hold 300 plus cattle in the yards.
