They will give a spin on figures to try and send prices down, after a week the market will know they are wrong and prices will be higher to fit in with reality

You can't argue against the fundamentals that wheat is tight, and isn't always in the right place, given current frieght costs. Mills were happy to pay £250 for it last month. Didn't see any shoppers going hungry or end users shutting.

USDA will drop demand and up supply. By very small quantities. They will revise these the other way in three months.

Was it dried after these samples were taken?
If it’s still in the mid 15’s it might be prudent to shift it sooner than later, before an insect infestation takes hold.

I may be wrong....but I think that new crop wheat is very undervalued. I can't see wheat prices being lower than they are today given the fertiliser prices today and thus the reduced amount bought/applied. The knock on effects on yields I think will reduce supply of ALL cereals WORLDWIDE.

A lot, me included, seem to be drawn towards keeping N rates largely the same and going without any new shiney kit, this all assumes grain prices stay where they are and don't crash which would be painfull.

Not everyone has bought / had their fert delivered yet. I won't be cutting back apart from the usual slots in the rotation.
I hope you are right but I’m not convinced. I would not be happy with Sep 22 ww at 160 which has to be in the realms of possibility.

Buying fert today at close to £175 per acre certainly doesn't pay of wheat is going to be below that per ton.

On a not very good looking crop I think close the gate now and harvest whatever there is could be the best option.

Yup. And sit watching it fall thinking it will go up. Once you've shelled out £800/t for fert, that will really need a mammoth ballbag to hold grain from 2022 harvest to 2023.
