Across the board probably down 20% on average, Spring Beans probably worse than that, 2nd wheat and w barley perhaps not quite that bad. Some 1st wheats on some stoney light land were shocking!

Spring beans here last year were bad 50% of normal , but wheat all firsts were excellent at 11T/H
A heavy thunderstorm on June 1, must have given just enough moisture for the wheat to hang on, no real rain till harvest . Dry summers suit us in soggy Shropshire.

We had literally nothing from the beginning of May onward for 3.5 months till the middle of August! The miniscule amounts that did fall occasionally just frazzled up with the 25 plus degree heat we had for quite a while! As you say those lucky enough to catch a heavy storm had just enough for winter crops to give good yields with that little extra rain that we never had.

Loaded an item of machinery last week for a couple of chaps from by Corby, who had had 30mm of rain, to our 13mm, they said how dry we looked. Which is quite saying something; coming from a man from Corby.

New Crop FB as available is £120 in South West & probably only a few quid more for OldCrop!

Wheat £200 for Feb 2020? Speaking to friends in the USA and Canada things aren’t going great and all predicting yield reductions. Won’t take much to push things up a notch.

Depends where in U.S. you are talking about................I am guess northern states/Dakota's
Wheat harvest underway now and southern states are talking yields up.

My spring barleys on a £20/over Nov wheat futures contract for malting low N. 50% wheat futures based:50% spot.

Did some at £176, last year which will be £196 at harvest if it meets spec. Only 5 loads unfortunately.
