Over yearing wheat at last year's prices????????????????

I had some sold at £200 for May and wanted to be absolutely sure I had enough to cover the contract. There's quite a few with a bit left I believe.

We were late loading ours out this year too - last load left the farm on Monday.....the same day 2019 harvest started. As it turned out there's still 5-6t left!

Why no assurance?
Pretty near impossible without.
Open-field used to do the occasional unassured boat for export.

Whatever you do with it, FFS don't post on here how you got rid of non-assured grain. It'll cause you nothing but grief.

Shame you're too far away. Otherwise could have been interested. Currently steaming 20% stuff down to 16. As regards assurance, it's only a recommendation for farm grown. I believe the same applies if you buy from a non-assured neighbour.

Graindex have a bit of trade on non farm assured stuff. Don't think it will be pretty though? Un assured barley will moisture claims circa £100/ton?

Don't take much to pass assurance for temporary harvest storage if such a thing still exists? Have to have it gone from farm by end of Sept etc?

If it is anything like Non FA livestock........... you put it in the magic lorry and by the time it gets to its destination it magically becomes Farm Assured .............. but only the buyer makes the money !!
