What's Osr going to do ? Just been offered £315 but am thinking I should carry it over . Surely the tonnage is going to be way down at harvest but will the oil price continue to hold it down regardless of availability .

despite how rare Uk tonnage will be the low oil prices are going to keep a lid on values for sometime I fear

Futures up £2.30 this afternoon. Has the trade caught on to the dry weather?

Not just dry
27 degrees and steady 8-9 mph breeze (cambridge) bedford 26 degrees somewhere else in east anglia was 28
days of super low humidity...16 of the 19 days of May so far have had daytime RH below 50...yesterday (hot and breezy) and today (hotter) RH in low 30's
Local weather station enthusiast has a cB meter 100mm deep in a lawn.....exceeded -100 today. So about the limit of where clay soil can provide water.
May rainfall 2.5mm, which was on the first of the month, which was also the last day barometric pressure was below 1000 mB

Wheat on hanslope clay that is anywhere near a reasonable stand is sacrificing lower leaves at an alarming rate, here.
Full defense 'pineapple' mode ongoing. As the last 3or 4 years. But ears are not even out yet so this malarkey is worryingly early.

Lawn burnt to a crisp. Not normally seen till July. Shaping up to be the worst drought in living memory. Even in 1976, it was wet till mid June...........
