Combinables Price Tracker

according to the ahdb ,the info is on their site it costs £47.30 which as I and a lot more than most if not all have been led to believe. Which pretty much means uk produced grain is undervalued, so begs the next question where in the world is there or will be next year any quantity of wheat of a similar to uk standard available at a cost ex farm or fob to import at so called parity
the uk feed wheat is priced relative to the import price of maize
a high world maize production and maize at £100 a tonne with no import duty post brexit

in a year with enough feed wheat to satsfy the uk consumer and we have to export wheat
we should all grow better quality varieties

thats what we are told ,though atm nov wheat delivered yorks is around 180 and nov maize 196 and currently march is showing a £20 discount for wheat , us maize is over £ 200 delivered
The next question compared to wheat what price discount/ premiumshould they roughly trade at ?

Did you think it would be higher or lower?
Hadn’t had a local price for a couple of weeks and thought it would be lower. Having said that was told this morning that big mill in north Shropshire is busier than ever at the moment and my small top up load of concentrates ordered yesterday will be 7-10 days before delivery.

How does £140 ex for milling spec sound?

I suspect the haulage from TD11 might be an issue, we're 105 miles from Middlesborough to help you work it out.
Try Mick Hare haulage, most of my barley at the end of the season seems to come from up your way, Coastal grains I think at Morpeth or Belford I can’t remember exactly. Anyhow it’s usually one of his lorries that brings it down so I assume he’s up there regularly
