Is anyone expecting I hike in milling wheat when lockdown restrictions are lifted or am o kidding myself , I do think the country will go mad for a couple of weeks before people run out of steam and money!

I dont think there's much money to run out of, it's been spent on internet and in particular Amazon shopping.

If anything the demand for flour went up during lockdown! There was a lot more people cooking and baking. At one point you couldn’t buy flour anywhere as mills could keep up with demand. So if anything I would think demand will fall as people go back to work and back to there food on the move diets.

Wheat prices appear to be tumbling a bit at the moment with good growing weather predicted in the states and Chinese farmers being told to push for greater self sufficiency. Good for the pig and poultry farmers at least.

Was very true in the first lock down , second one I think the home bake brigade lost the war time mentality and the small mills aren’t doing much milling at all

I don't think flour demand went up that much, the demand just switched from bulk to consumer packaging and the mills didn't have the infrastructure to cope with it.
