Too much risk of low yields to sell any

if it rains and we get higher yields and lower prices the sales per acre will be alright

but if you sell now and the yield is down a lot due to drought the sales per acre also fall

Look at 1976 1987 2001 2012 2020

the uk is most likely to be a grain importer this next year even barley will be tighter

No grass.
The grass that's being ate or cut is not coming back.
In fact even the fields that haven't done either are looking bleak.
Simples.🤷

Can I mention straw on here?🙄

Would love to at that price but would prefer to sleep at night until we have some in the shed. averaged less than 0.5t/acre last year.
We are the same here.....went around yesterday for a look and all of the rape has a strange look about it this year.....naturally thinned itself out over winter more than we’ve ever seen too. Bloody stuff!
