Well, if you'd bought a November option a month ago to buy wheat at say £30 less than today, it might have cost £10.

£10 cost. £30 gain. One month. No growing anything. And I don't believe any tax on the profit.

whats the difference between futures and options? ive never been one for selling until its in the shed, harvest weather can be tricky here

ay £17/t option i could have guaranteed the lowest price i got at harvest 2020 was £180

if markets actually at harvest were above yesterday’s prices i would have got more

if you want to remove risk from prices they ate the only mechanism to do so - min price insurance basically

i will monitor markets daily and react as i feel accordingly using whatever tool fits best

fixed plans don’t work, flexibility does seem to though
