I’ve sold a load feed wheat £200 April, £190 off the combine
nearly sold an extra odd load or two this afternoon but didnt even as a couple of our usual buyers ringing up to offer to buy ,which was tempting ,but as an old now deceased self made non farming pal advised me when a younger man. If folks start offering to buy dont sell cos they know something you arnt aware of , that advice has stood the test of time, ( note the rise at close of business)but we will at some point need to relieve our storage situation

With a bit of luck our smug getting stuff dried and away off the combine sales will turn out worse than the stuff that we sit on

I happened to see the future had risen so I rang my favoured merchant to see what the prices were. Ive only sold 1 ton acre so far so just need to get some cut so I have a better idea of what I’ll have in the shed. Didn’t have any wheat last year so never sold any at £200 so thought I’d better sell 1 load as I’d hate to miss it.
