Had a merchant trying to tempt me at £150 ex for Mascani yesterday
Absolute joke when milling oats are bid less than “pig” barley. I know the trader well and we had a fair chat. He said he had heard some harvest bids in SW at £135
Oat Millers need to play fair my chap also said that Morning Foods not offering (him) much, if anything, for forward contracts based on wheat futures.
I know we have a big haulage disadvantage here in far SW but it’s not making oats look too attractive.
