The price usually goes down quicker than it goes upmilks 40ppl so if wheat isnt 300 going forward theres suddenly going to be a huge margin in milk
It won't be 40p for long if input prices fall

There is always a day of reckoning...the question is when£300/ton grain is unsustainable. The same as £1000/ton fertiliser was.
If that’s the world price, what’s the alternative?£300/ton grain is unsustainable. The same as £1000/ton fertiliser was.
I reluctantly paid 295 for barley yesterday to keep the pigs going a bit longer. It's just a lag. If £300 becomes the new benchmark, then the rest will catch up. There are plenty buying. They may not be liking it, but they must prefer it to selling the beasts.
Livestock feed mills arent buying at that price.Well, they're buying it at £300 and not complaining because they can just add 5p on a pack of Jaffa cakes.
my Daytona left last Dec @ £308 thru grain coop. was quite happy at that. back thenNo, cant give them away. Have a load of Daytona to sell. no bids. never believe the hype about growing more pulses. once the market is full, its full.
