Wish I could do that. The Fert bill. Pre em bill the diesel bill the wage bill the electric bill. I will have to start selling around October.

Thanks to the buying group most major inputs won’t been due until the New Year either.

The beauty of late sales is that increased price has more than covered any cost of finance. It’s been a slow process but the last few years I’ve slowly managed to move later and later.

late sale OK, but not if you still havnt sold it! our sales ranged from £187 at harvest to £330 june and variable lots in between . more than happy on every day we sold ! all sold spot.

Agreed. I would have been happier selling it all but merchants didn’t move March grain until May which pushed everything back a bit.

Everything happens for a reason…
Likewise, but Jan, Feb March, April, maybe next year I'll pay more attention to a mass balance sheet, but I will always happily undersell tonnage then oversell. Only 3 or 4 loads adrift but enough to anoy me.

No we kept hearing of this magic £350 feed wheat up in Scotland
but we didn't make it before the iceberg hit.
Nevermind I'm not bitter ,go Nicola. 😂
Ha, offered 260 for a remaining load in Perthshire today, lots of people not buying, got 5t of feed barley that would usually find a home no bother, no interest there either, Demand Destruction?

Farmer speculators very quiet at the moment.
Is now the time to buy wheat futures?
A lot on the trading site are/were debating when to get back into wheat, it's really interesting to see some of it from their perspective, they shorted wheat and made a packet on the way down and will want to go long and ride it up again. Just like Copper, lots made shorting
