It feels to me like the market has settled down a bit. The Ukrainian export news is well factored in and I think even the biggest optimists have realised it’s unlikely to happen fully, quickly or easily.

I think the speculators are looking at the fundamentals and the market is trying to lift a couple of pounds each day which is very positive mid harvest.

We also have slow growth, striking workers and two terrible candidates for PM to keep the pound weak.

It will soon be back to £300/t ex farm (I hope 😬)

Futures price for the same period is £278.

Variably the ex farm price has been trading at parity, or up to £15 below futures, since the crisis kicked off.

Russia has bombed the port of Odessa so they have basically cocked on the deal
Thats last weeks news. Latest news- 4ships loaded, 17 ships loading and lloyds insurers set to provide the insurance policies. First boats will be moving this weekend by the looks, ukraine just waiting for the nod from Turkey and the UN

If they manage to navigate their way through the minefield with some pretty big ships will they not be showing the Russian navy the way through? I know Putin has made a pinky promise not to attack but he might be tempted.
