So, escape from the MF and go Claas, surely can’t be a bad move. Assured by the vendor all was good and been checked over by a recognised company pre sale as he wanted it sold in full working order.
Hmm, what a mug I was, hooked header on, get to the field, switch auto contour on, header drops and goes full tilt to the left

Been in the book, scrolling through Cebis but can find no way of manually levelling the header. HELP

Don’t matter what you do with them, still the same, the springs need replacing underneath by the looks of it as they don’t have enough in them to power back and a spring holder was broken, but fixed that now

There used to be a switch to tilt it over manually as well, but a long time since I've had a claas you might also need to drop the header off and resycn the rams turn the tap on the bottom left pump both rams to the top, then close tap and put one side right down, put header on and off you go. But I think its just because your sensor is jammed on the left hand side, give it a kick and make sure it isn't jamming again. Cou,d be a bit be t to one side and jamming on a bolt when the header is right on the ground.

Linkage moving ok to the sensor, has now thrown right hand sensor fault after much playing, but which side do they call the right hand side, looking at it or sitting behind it

Should have enough weight in them to drop to the end of the chains without springs. Could try learning header heights but without those sensors drooping down I think you'll struggle.

It will be the sensing bands and or the bar. Make sure where they attach to the rotating bar under the header the lugs they are bolted to aren't bent or the bar is bowed/twisted, or both. It happens when reversing with the header down in working position as the bands dig in to the soil and snap the chains. Had it happen a few times in fields with soft loamy soil.

Sitting in seat, swap sensors from one side to another, you used to be able to do that.

They’re the same part number, so will try that

If it’s a sensor fault, they are at each end of the header, 1st thing I’d do is look for rodent damage. Usually in the trunking of the header. If there’s wires inside blue water pipe it’s happened before.

But I still think its a physical problem to start with, could just be a stone jammed in the linkage, push the vario right the way out, put the safety stop in and have a look.

Ive had flints stuck in the linkage

Check they move freely they should fall back on their own
If they are free then relearn cutter bar limits in cebis

Does it manually level with the switch on the back of the joystick? As above I’d learn the end stops to start with. It does tell you how to do it in the book.
