Combine curse continues

During your early morning service it might be a good idea to ,occasionally, unplug the L and R header sensors and apply a little contact spray before plugging them back in.

A squirt of brake cleaner or something nasty in any access points will stop them getting in there.

Spray our combine with mix of gear oil and diesel at end of season, keeps paint fresh and rodents out. Get it running full bore in the yard and fire the mix in the front with a spray gun, it’s amazing how effectively the airflow moves it thru the machine. Used to get a bit of trouble with the nibblers, not had any visitors in years since starting.

the last couple of 770s I’ve had the guards across the back covering the wiring undo. It’s amazing how much chaff gets wedged in there

We take the covers off our header every winter and soaked in diesel and oil so far we’ve been lucky.

Pushed the vario forward, as been tinkering around it today, can’t work out we’re the various plates go in, or has this had an upgrade and doesn’t need them

It should go further than the numbers by some way! If pins out but make sure you remove knife drive belt first otherwise you will break belt and pulleys!

Push it out, move the pin on the tensioner for the knife drive belt, pull it in, remove belt and fit longer one, then pull the pins out and push right out to osr setting. Put in plates then pull back tight against plates, remove pin on tensioner and lock pins for vario. iirc

Sorry just looked back it’s a vista2 cab so yes it will need plates.
