Combine Harvester and Accessories: John Deere - 1065

Category: Combine Harvester and Accessories Manufacturer: John Deere Price: £8250 Condition: Used

Description:

Here is my '87 JD 1065 that has just finished cutting almost 40acres of winter barley last week with no issues, it was supposed to be traded in against a newer model which hasn't arrived yet so had to step into the breach. As said it will be traded in if no-one on here wants it, was just going to see if any interest as don't think dealer is that fussed whether he has it or not and it will be exported. I think this is a shame as it's possibly the best bit of machinery we have ever owned and I would like to see it looked after!
Details:
12ft header and trolley
Straw chopper
Header reverser
almost 2800 hours.
New knife and fingers last year
Good paintwork and tyres
We are the second owners from new and have owned for the last 12 years and its had nothing on it apart from wearing parts, cut 250acres last year without a single stoppage and I am only changing it due to an increase in acres.I would sell this combine to my best friend or next door neighbour. Couple of small jobs need doing which I would have done if I had been expecting to keep it but obviously in full working order. An ideal compact, easily manoeuvrable machine for someone with a small acreage, take back your harvesting from contractors and cut when you want to. Side knife and wide rear tyres available by negotiation.

Unexpectedly available again, due to the fact replacement didn't arrive in time so was unable to deliver this one to new buyer in the timescale that he required it. Has cut 300 acres since last updated this ad, with just a replacement chain, knife section and lifter. Finished harvest Monday. @tppi @Nae bother

I was that prospective buyer who unfortunately had to forgo this combine as it couldn't be released in time due to circumstances beyond the sellers control.

I had a good look round it a month ago and can honestly say it's the best example I have seen of that machine. A well maintained late model with later design enhancements including the improved knee level gear selector and the header reverser.

Well worth a look and serious consideration. Should serve a smaller operator well for many years to come. Simple and cheap to maintain. I'd recommend it to anybody looking for a smaller combine.
