Hi,
Interested in the header, just curious, how does it cut the pea stalks, or is it a case of lift and snap ?

Price would also be useful please.

Thanks, Andy

Hi Andy, it doesn't cut the pea stalks it just lifts them as you suggest. One great benefit of this is any grass or weeds with a good root structure growing in the crop are left standing and are not pulled through the combine. I'm looking for £8000 ono
Thanks

Thanks for your reply.

My concern would be the lifting without cutting, got some lightish black peaty fen land here and think it may pull all the plant up and the roots and soil will bung the combine, having spent 3 hours this year poking the concave out with a screwdriver after trying to get flat patches of Barley that pulled up roots and soil, its making me cautious.

To reduce soil going through the combine the header itself has hundreds of small holes drilled under the auger. I also use perforated covers on the grain tank elevator and under the auger leading to the elevator.
