Just after opinions here, due to having a new to me combine which is much faster than old one, and having more spring barley last year. Got zippped through harvest with only 70hrs on the combine. I changed all the oils and filters at start of harvest when i got the combine. Sooo.... How far would you go with servicing now with regards to oils and filters :-
Not bother changing any,
Change engine oil and filter and leave hydraulic oil and filters,
Or change them all.

I have an idea what i'm going to do, wanted to see what everyone else thought.

Edit, combine is a NH CX8030

I think engine oil change is 600 hours?.. I only change every other year.. on yours i wouldnt bother doing anything, grease up and start next harvest.

They also say600hrs or annually.Engine oil in particular on a combine sits there for 10-11 months and is then expected to protect an engine running at full power for maybe 100 hrs in a month.I change it every year, filter every other.

I think it makes a huge difference where the combine is stored.
If the shed is damp proof with little condensation fluids keep better.
If you're a low hour user chances are you won't be buying drums of oil too regularly also?
How long have you had the drum?

did ours everyear older NH8070 & ran it for 19yrs never had a single engine issue.
oil n filter cheap as.
Infact it had all its diesel filters done every year & not one single fuel issue ever.

Neighbours 12season old CX840 gets all engine & fuel filters + hydraulic filters every season.
cuts 700ac with no issues from any of them.

For an engine that has been running in work, and is then going to sit for a good while, just like a combine / forage harvester etc.......change it.

During the running time the oil will be absorbing un burnt fuel, carbon deposits ( soot ) etc, and will have been subject to some fairly rigorous running, irrespective of hours.

As that oil sits there in the sump, with the sun warming the day up and cooling down at night, condensation will form. This type of condensation can be like a mild acid in the block.

At the end of the season, drain, and put fresh oil in for the laid up period. Give it a run to throw the fresh stuff around, and a run every couple of months during the year.

Jobs a good un.

I concur.
My Old Holland 8050 only cuts 70 ac / year but after the last field l drop oil and filter each year.
Fire it up on the first day of every month and drive around the yard with threshing engaged.
Keeps her on her toes .

We've been down this route before the dealer got the oils tested and they were fine so as long as it's good oil then you'll be fine to run it 2 seasons
